Embrace the ever-changing cycles of nature. You will find profound lessons on praise, renewal, restoration, growth, new beginnings, and everlasting life.
Just as nature renews itself, we too can find opportunities to shed old burdens and embrace a fresh start.
In the hustle and bustle of modern life, it's easy to lose sight of the beauty and wisdom that surround us in the natural world. We find ourselves consumed by daily responsibilities, deadlines, and commitments, leaving little time to pause, reflect, and renew our spirits. However, amidst the chaos, nature stands as a silent yet powerful reminder of God's eternal promise—a promise of growth, renewal, and everlasting life.
Tip #1 - Pause and Listen to Nature
As we embarked on a sabbatical to our native land, we were greeted by a breathtaking sight: green, vibrant, and full of life. The lush greenery served as a poignant reminder of God's promise to those who find joy in His law and word. Like a tree planted by streams of water, we too can flourish and bear fruit in our season of life. All we need to do is take a moment to listen to nature's whispers, reminding us of God's Green Promise.
Tip #2 - Learn from the Relationship between Green Pastures and Quiet Waters
During our journey, we visited a small farm, where the new rice paddy plants danced in the gentle breeze. The sight of our children playing by the river brought us immense joy. It was a reminder that green symbolizes not only peace but also prosperity and growth. Like the green season marking the start of something new, we too should embrace new beginnings and let go of the burdens of the past. Just as the Great Shepherd leads His sheep to green pastures and quiet waters, we too can find tranquility and contentment when we follow His guidance.
"He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.." – King David (Psalms 23:2)
Tip #3 - Meditate with Nature to Restore Your Soul
During our trip, we had the privilege of taking the children from Hope Children's Home to the highest peak in the village. As we stood in awe of the breathtaking scenery, we encouraged the children to pray for their future, just as one plants a tree by the riverbank, drawing strength and sustenance from the water. Prayer and meditation, like the roots of a tree, ground us, giving us the resilience to weather life's storms and grow stronger through challenges.
Tip #4 - Be Open to the Creator of the Creation
As we were leaving, we captured a shot of the farm we visited. The image exuded freshness, vigor, and promise. The green farm reminded us of immortality and everlasting life—the gift of a new beginning through faith. As we open our hearts to the wonders of creation, we find hope, allowing us to experience life more fully. Just as a seed opens up to embrace the world, we too can embrace the Creator and His promise of eternal life.
"Every ending marks the start of something new." – Wung & Margareth Valui
Nature offers us invaluable lessons on rest, renewal, and eternal life. Let us remember that, like the evergreen trees, our souls can flourish and remain vibrant, yielding the fruits of faith, hope, and love in their seasons. So, the next time you find yourself in the midst of life's chaos, take a moment to step into nature's embrace and be reminded of the precious gift of rest, renewal, and eternal life.
